Chile faces a critical gap in the energy transition; on one hand for energy storage, and on the other, to accelerate electromobility in mining: there is no national infrastructure to validate batteries and electromobility under extreme conditions, generating technical uncertainty, investment and operational risks. This lack of capabilities affects safety in mining operations, the adoption of BESS systems, and the circular economy around battery second life, making a technological platform that allows testing, qualification, and local traceability urgent.

An enabling technological platform to develop and consolidate a comprehensive battery and electromobility testing center in the Antofagasta Region, ensuring the performance, safety, and durability of cells, modules, packs, and electric vehicles through electrical, climatic, safety, and mechanical testing.
