INTRODUCTION
Projects
The Institute of Clean Technologies drives strategic projects aimed at solving critical challenges for the country's sustainable development, with a focus on technological innovation, public-private collaboration, and local impact. Our five priority areas address key sectors to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy, promoting solutions that combine technical excellence, local relevance, and global reach. Each of these areas seeks to develop and scale clean technologies that improve industrial competitiveness, foster productive diversification, and contribute to the well-being of local territories and their communities.

Platforms
of the Institute of Clean
Technologies
Sustainable Mining
Significantly improve aspects related to low-emission mining, enhancing the industry's sustainability and competitiveness and its impact at both the national and regional levels.
Solar Energy
Leverage Chile's exceptional solar resources and the need to provide cost-effective energy solutions that enhance the competitiveness of other national industries, especially mining and the energy sector.
Lithium
Develop and pilot technologies in lithium materials and other minerals to create complementary technologies for the lithium industry, focusing on energy storage solutions. This enhances national industry competitiveness and promotes the electromobility sector and green growth.
Green Hydrogen
Build technological capabilities in the production, storage, transport, and use of green hydrogen through collaboration between academia, industry, and communities. This fosters competitiveness, productive efficiency, and partnerships aimed at developing the hydrogen market.
Water Resources
Create and implement a platform that utilizes solar energy to develop technologies and solutions for sustainable treatment of natural water and industrial wastewater. This ensures and generates water resources in the arid and semi-arid regions of northern Chile.
